Spells that make Us Greater

Alright, I'm sorry for not writing for a while. Been about a month or so but with work and RL, stuff just happens. Not sure why I am even apologizing. Not like anyone reads this right now, right? I mean, I don't really have a comments posted. OMG! I don't have any comments posted!

What do you want from me? Some epic fairy tale out of a Harry Potter book!

Well too bad. We are talking about Enchants today.

On with the tutorial.

Alright so you got your epic lootz. What's next? Well enchanting of course.

Head:
For tanking you will want the Arcanum of the Stalwart Protector, which requires Revered reputation with the Argent Crusade. This little glyph gives you a 37 stamina increase and 20 points on defense which is just lovely.
For DPS, you will want the Arcanum of Torment, which requires Revered rep with the Knights of the Ebon Blade. This little beaut gives you a 50 point AP boost and a 20 point crit increase.

Shoulder:
Now the faction, The Sons of Hodir, offer all shoulder enchant glyphs for every class in game at level 80. For tanking your choice lies on The Lesser Inscription of the Pinnacle which Honored rep is required with this faction and The Greater Inscription of the Pinnacle for which Exalted status is required. For the DPS side of the house, you will be needing The Lesser Inscription of the Axe at Honored or The Greater inscription of the Axe at Exalted. So all DKs should definitely grind their rep with this faction until exalted, not to mention all the gold that you will need for repairs from raiding into the wee hours of the night.

Back/Cloak:
Tanking: Enchant Cloak - Titanweave offers a 16 point increase in Defense for you to reach that Def cap needed to be uncrittable. This doesn't mean you can't get the Enchant Cloak - Major Agility that offer the 22 agi boost for extra dodge and armor but I feel Titanweave gets you the most bang for your gold so to speak.
DPSing: Speaking from a Blood DPS perspective, I feel Enchant Cloak - Mighty Armor is great. Popping points into Bladed Armor lets you use this chant for added AP. Otherwise Enchant Cloak - Major Agility for the crit is the next best thing.

Chest:
Tanking: Enchant Chest - Greater Defense is great if you still need to reach the 540 Def cap, otherwise Enchant Chest - Powerful Stats is the best. Now if you're Def capped and you can't afford the Powerful Stats then Super Stats would be right up your alley.
DPSing: The only ones usable here are the Powerful Stats or Super Stats, depending upon your money situation.

Wrist/Bracers:
Tanking: Now for this chant I prefer the Enchant Bracers - Expertise since the recent nerf to the Expertise in the Blood tree. Prior to that Enchant Bracers - Major Stamina was my best friend. Also Enchant Bracers - Greater Stats is good. With this chant it all depends on really what you want from your chant. If you need the Extra threat, Expertise is needed. If you need survivability, then Major Stam is your calling, or if you just want to boost all your stats then Greater Stats is the way for you.
DPSing: Two great chants are Enchant Bracers - Greater Assault or Enchant Bracers - Greater Stats. Again the deciding factor is yours, whether to boost your AP or all your stats.

Hands/Gloves:
Tanking: I prefer Enchant Gloves - Armsman over the other 2 possible chants of Precision and Expertise. The added threat and parry are a help to any DK.
DPSing: Enchant Gloves - Greater Blasting, Crusher and Precision are all great for DPS. At this point it really depends on your Hit Cap and Crit rating. Let's face it, my DPS gear isn't all that great yet since I'm a tank but the gear I have puts me way over Hit cap without gems or chants so I can place the Precision aside. You should be able to as well. Now if your AP is over 3k, I recommend that you take Blasting for the crit increase. Again it is your preference.

Legs:
Both the tanking armor, Frosthide Leg Armor and DPS armor, Icescale Leg Armor, are made by all Leatherworkers. You can either farm the mats yourself and have a LW make one for you or you can buy them on the AH. Keep in mind it's usually cheaper to farm the mats yourself.

Feet/Boots:
Tanking: Enchant Boots - Greater Fortitude and Tuskarr's Vitality are both great. While the 22 stam boost from Greater Fort is good, I prefer to tank with Tuskarr's Vitality for the extra movement increase to stay ahead of my healer and DPS, or to stay, literally, one step ahead of my current target mob or boss.
DPSing: While Enchant Boots - Icewalker is great with the extra crit and hit, it tends to keep me way over hit cap. My preference lies with Enchant Boots - Greater Assault for the extra 32 AP.

Weapon:
While there are some great enchants for weapons, such as Berserking, Mongoose or Accuracy, DKs have a class profession of Runeforging. The Runeforging for our weapons was made to be the equivalent, if not better, enchants for our weapons whether tanking or DPSing.

For TANKing, my preference lies with Rune of the Stoneskin Gargoyle with the added 25 defense rating and the 2% increase in Stamina. Not only is the added stam great but with the 25 defense on your weapon it will free up a gem slot or 2 for other stats to be added.

On the DPS side of the weapon house, Rune of the Fallen Crusader is my favorite. Basically it acts as a Mongoose enchant for DKs. It procs the extra Strength for AP and has that added bonus of small heals.

Now with all chants, keep in mind, while thinking some of these chants over, of the usual group contruction/compostion that you run with while raiding. Such as, if you run with Paladins a lot, stacking pure Stats rather than AP would be better. While it doesn't increase self-buffed or outside buffs, Blessing of Kings increases all stats on your gear including chants.

Well I believe I have covered a lot of stuff here today and am real happy with this and I hope whoever reads this is, as well.
